Thanks for the reminder to put me first. This month I officially started MY spark diet for ME! I have the month off from work and thought now is the time to make it about me! Without having to work, I can spend time with my daughter, husband, keep the house, but also squeeze in time for me. Time for me to establish a work ou, time for me to plan my shopping and menus based off the foods on my SP diet. I hope the 4 weeks I have off to focus on MY needs can help establish the routine I need before I go back to work so it can be continued.

I am just started to think about myself first sometimes. For the last 23 years I have put kids and husband first and now thanks to the encouraging stories/blogs I have read on SP I am starting to put myself first.

I realized that I had not made exercise a priority in my life. So I made taking care of myself, including exercise, my first priority. Then, I made it first thing in the morning...I exercise before I go to work.
In order to make sure that I get all of the water I am supposed to drink in a day, I keep a 2-cup insulated coffee mug on the kitchen counter whenever I am home. Since I am constantly in and out of the kitchen, I am always taking a drink of water. The insulated cup keeps it cold for a few hours at ta time. As soon as I drain it, I enter my 2 cups of water in SparkPeople, and I refill the mug.
