Journaling, talking to a friend, exercise, and really spending time with myself have helped me to keep my mentality in the right place.
If you start "beating yourself up" over eating too much or no weight loss on the scale one week, ask yourself, "would I talk to my friends this way?" Most likely you wouldn't. You would probably tell your friend that it's okay to mess up once in a while and give him/her a pep talk. Treat yourself as you would your best friend, and see what a difference it makes.
