I find that getting my exercise done the first thing in the morning gets my day off to a good start. If I put it off, everything seems to be behind schedule and I am upset with myself. Being a morning person may be why this works for me.

I know I have to leave about fifteen minutes earlier than if I drive, but I get in a quick mile and my daughter gets a quick half mile to get her brain going too! It saves gas (always a good) and we spend 15 minutes talking! Win, Win Win!
I am not a big fan of morning exercise, but this is so much fun, I keep doing it!
I find that if I develop a habit or routine I am better at keeping at exercise. I start each morning with Wii fit and I find that then even if the day gets away from me I have at least had my morning exercise.
