Sometimes it is so easy for me to buy the sale instead of the shoes, or the shirt...I find that I am a bargain shopper to the extreme and that's a great thing to all my friends, but to me I have started to realize that sometimes when I am looking at something, I'm only looking at the 80% off clearance, and thinking wow! this went from $25 dollars to $5? When I should be thinking I have more than enough tops at home!! So since I have decided only to go shopping when I am in dire need of something, I have been able to save alot more extra cash! And have slowly started the process of getting rid of my old clothes that I keep telling myself I might be able to wear that again...but honestly, if I got back down to that size I would want to get a whole new wardrobe anyways as a prize for acheiving my goal, not wear some ratty old jeans covered in mothballs...

It is amazing how simple this works! While I am thinking twice about whether I really need to make that purchase, I also ask myself what I have to get rid of at home if I make that purchase. We are empty nesters now and we need to continue to clear material possessions out of our home and this is a "baby step" in that direction.
