I surround myself with things that keep me on track. That way I always keep my goals in mind and am less likely to fall off track. The more you are reminded of your goal the less likely you are to overeat or skip your workout.

I HAVE FRIENDS THAT ARE OVERWEIGHT AND DO EVERY POSSIBLE THING TO SABOTAUGE ME! AND MY NEW IMPROVED EATING/EXERCISE. THOUGH IT HURTS I HAD TO SIT THEM DOWN AND TELL THEM HOW MUCH THIER SUPPORT MATTERS TO ME AND IF THEY CANT,THATS THIER PROBLEM.

I've learned to count on only myself when it comes to staying accountable. I used to tell my friends/family "whatever happens, don't let me eat this or that!" and it never works. It works best if I tell myself.. "no matter what happens, don't eat...."
It's better to convince yourslef than someone else. It's better to give YOURSELF the control :)
