after having surgery I must get in at least 90gm of protein but even if you didn't have surgery protein is so very important for all our needs daily to build and maintainn muscle mass as we get older. So I find if I take vitamins and get my protein in I don't have room for other junk food lol now I need to work on drinking enough fluids h2o...were all a work in progress.... so I will work on journaling and that will keep me on track.... protein, water, journaling.... works

I find that I am consistently low in protein, largely because I don't eat much red meat (not vegetarian, just its expensive and tends to be higher in fat). So I started supplementing with whey protein - I love it! I throw a scoop in with a 5 oz. glass of nonfat milk, and with the chocolate brand I bought, its only a 103 calorie snack that provides 11 grams of protein! I've also thrown in a scoop when I make sugar-free pudding.
