This Sparked Me!

I was always reluctant to talk to others about my goals or join a community. I thought "I don't need that." But when I risked talking about my struggles I found not only warmth, acceptance and encouragment, but really GOOD ideas from people who've been there themselves and KNOW. Risk asking for

I also thought motivation "gimmicks" were silly. But I am amazed at how much working for Spark points keeps me motivated, teaches me new things and helps me stay on track.

I agree. I was feeling the same way, then I started a blog on Spark's, and although I do not write every day, I feel I am not accountable, I have a "team" behind me, although I know no one is reading it, it is making me feel like I belong... You will be your biggest fan, always remember that! emoticon

I've never joined groups either. I hope to find real help here. I'm a picky eater and it's been hard to find the things I like and reduce the carbs. I'm getting into a pretty good roll though. Since Feb, I've lost 20 pounds and it feels great. Best of luck and warm wishes to you.

Initially I thought I could do what I needed to do myself. However, the longer I am on this journey, the more I am finding I need like-minded individuals for support.
