In the past, I would cook more food than we needed and it would be eaten. Now we are cooking the number of servings we need and adding other healthy things to fill out the meal. The end result is we are getting full on less food.

MORE INFORMATION:
For example, a whole bag of Ore-Ida fries, or eight biscuits for four people.This is particularly helpful for pasta, which often has a serving size based on uncooked weight.

    I always cooked extra "just in case - we can always eat leftovers tomorrow." Well, I found there were never leftovers because we ate them all. DH has just been diagnosed with diabetes so he has to measure his portions so I have started measuring mine too. It really helps to cook exactly enough!
