Since summer break started this week I told my three kids that the first thing that is going to happen every morning is that mom is going to work out. That might mean that I will take the kids w/me and go for a power walk or that I will do a workout video. The whole rest of the day is devoted to
them so to make sure I work out and take care of myself that is what I do first thing in the am!

I make my special workouts a game with the kids. This way I have to do it and the kids get their workout as well. If I have to do my stand in place marching I get them to go against me. They have no clue I have to count my steps but, the goal is to go longer than me. And at 1 min I stop and they keep going. NOW they have won.
If you get them involved you will find they want to play everyday and you get your encouragement to do a quick workout everyday.
