Three spices I never put away but keep handy on my stovetop in plain sight are black pepper, cinnamon, and turmeric. These spices have amazing health benefits. I challenge myself to sprinkle them on anything I possibly can, which I probably wouldn't think to do if they weren't right there in view.
Turmeric has great anti-cancer properties but is not common in the American diet. I sprinkle it on soups, stews, any spicy-hot food. Sprinkle lightly and you don't even taste it. Cinnamon is also good in hot foods like chili as long as you don't overdo.
