Use old pantyhose to store onions. Put onion in pantyhose, tie a knot, add another onion, etc., until full. Then hang the "onionhose" in a dry place. Onions need to be separated from each other to keep from spoiling and last longer this way.

This wouldn't work for everyone, but I decided to make a rule that as long as I weigh over 148 lbs, I must wear pantyhose if I go outside. (Exceptions if I go running! Pantyhose do enough running by themselves!) This is giving me motivation to lose that last 10 lbs, because it's just unpleasant enough to remind me, but it's not too punishing. I'm going on a trip to Africa next month, and I definitely want to be out of the pantyhose by then!41
