I admit that for most of my life I have been a "willy-nilly" shopper. Whatever struck my fancy at any given moment in the grocery store went into my basket or cart. That has started to change gradually as now I choose carefully what I really want to eat that will benefit me in a positive way.

    Another tip is to plan your weekly (biweekly) menu and then purchase only what you need to fulfill your menu requirem,ment and then your personal necessities for the house.

You'll find yourself saving lots this way and have little to no waste.
