I was at a plateau for months, although tracking, strength training 3x wk and cardio 5x wk the weight did not budge. I added a spin class I am back to loosign 1.5 to 2lbs a wk. Sometimes you have to shock the body get out of the same old routine and try something new and different

I recently added the Curves training circuit to my regular gym workout of treadmill and free weight training. I am hoping the added new workout will help me to get off the plateau! Good luck to all as well.

Good for you. I'm on top of that plateau and I teeter back and forth with 1-2 lbs, but I never go below that. It's been 3 months and I am so frustrated. Just added a weekly Zumba class hoping that will shape it up. Had first class on Wed. and thus far no change, hoping soon though. Congratulations to you!

To change it up is a good thing thus reason despite free gym at work I am pursuing a Y membership for the classes. Hope it helps!!

Do calisthenics during the commercial breaks when you are watching TV. The idea is to exercise intensely for the length of the break, as one would do in interval training.

Exercises: Jumping jacks, push-ups, squats, lunges, etc.
At the top of every hour stop do 25 sit ups and 25 push ups. If you can't do a real push up do the modified ones. This will not only get you into doing some exercise every day but it will also help you to increase the amount of push ups and sit ups you can do. Also helps to add stuff to your Fitness calculator.
