Sometimes I use this little trick to stop senseless snacking- I tell myself I can have an apple (or something similarly healthy) if I am truly hungry. If I don't want the apple, just the "other snack" I had in mind, then I am not really hungry, and don't allow myself a snack.
I used to mindlessly snack while watching TV. Now, I jog in place. I started out jogging through commercials. Now, I jog through the whole show. It gets my Fit Bit steps in, stops the snacks, and I feel more energy all the time. It's a win/win!
