  • I agree. My husband does it all the time. In no time he has cans full. He uses that money to buy his goodies for his ATV.

  • On March 4th of this year, I was in a drug store that had a 75% clearance table with all kinds of items on it. I saw a bank jar that automatically counts your change as you put it into it. It is run on 2 AAA batteries. I already had them. So since that Sunday until today I have saved almost $10.00 in change. I also went into a dollar store with a couple of things in mind to buy. They didn't have what I wanted so I left there buying nothing! My two friends wound up buying loads of items. They were a bit upset with me as I lured them into the store. I was grateful I didn't do impulse shopping in there. So often when I do months later I wind up pitching the items.

My husband does this, and he'll "buy" change from me to put in the jar. Then we cash it in before we go on vacation and it's an extrs $300-$400 to spend on vacation meals out, etc. - by MRSBEANS57
  • Yeah it really does work, I get cash out each week, and try not to use eftpos. Then at the end of the week I empty my wallet and put all the extra change left in one of those money tins, so I cant see how much is in there. It also stops me buying from vending machines when I dont have the coins lol - by AMYZ_HAM
