When checking your emails, get your Sparkpoints from reading the featured weekly and daily information. Then go back and read the featured article in its entirety getting Sparkpoints from the featured article in the same email. This way you get double the value from the same email.
I found that going to My Sparkpoints is a great way to explore all that this site has to offer. Until I read all the ways to get points, I didn't know about Trivia, or Secrets of Success. When I click "view sparkpoints" it reminds me of all the different ways Sparkpeople supports me on my fitness quest, with articles, blogs, teams, recipes. There is such a wealth of info here.
I am financially challenged. I have to read articles to get sparkpoints so I go to the yellow healthy lifestyle tab, then to lifestyle centers, then financial fitness. Might as well use those sparkpoints where they will benefit me the most!
