A goal of a race set before me gives me the incentive to set my running pace as well as rising early to run. Once I got into the habit of rising early, it simply became a part of my weekly schedule.

Knowing that I am going to run a race also helped me to set a pace goal. I then track my pace progress and make adjustments in time. emoticon

That's right! For me, it's reminding myself how confident I felt and how cute I looked in my "skinny" clothes. emoticon
