The secret to keeping weight off, is in our decision to lose weight in the first place. I find I have to get in the right mindset to lose weight. That mindset is normally "That's it I've had enough, its time to do something for me". Then something clicks, I think its the pain of carry weight as well as the pleasure of reaching my new goal, that spurs me on. The main thing is that once I get to "that's enough" I know my mindset and my motivation are set for success
Exercising at the same time each day is the only way I remember to do it. My time is first thing in the morning. Getting it out of the way make that rest of my day go better. And gone is the "SHOULD HAVES"
The mindset "Just Do it! Is what worked for me.
Change your "I Saved x amount by buying ....." mindset
Quit saying "I saved X amount today at the outlet store or by clipping coupons, or because it was on sale whatever" .... NO you didn't ... you SPENT money. Acknowledge that you got a great deal but don't "talk" about how much money you saved unless the store gave you cash in hand.
This changes your mindset so you know when you are actually saving money instead of spending.
