Exercise can be tough - to start, and to keep going. Mentally switching gears off of grumpiness and onto 'The Three Rs' helps me persevere.

REMEMBER: self discipline is remembering what you REALLY want.
RECORD: everything, good & bad; track/write it down.
REWARD: yourself for goals met.

    THank you, yes it takes some discipline to get the record part!! If your not a journal writer it takes practice. I declared that for every 3 pounds I lose I will reward myself in some way! Thanks again, I needed this encouragement! emoticon

    The 3 Rs. Remember record and reward! Yes! What a great motivation team. I am looking forward to the positive reinforcements from this group. I did a Zumba master class for 2 hours! I'm recording in spark and rewarding my amazing body with a massage. Have a motivating and moving Monday!!

    Discipline gets such a bad rap and we tend to resist it so much! But this is a great reminder that self-discipline is really just living the life we dream of. All right, let's go! (And then rewarding ourselves for doing it - wo, talk about healthy double-dipping!)

    Amen on the tough start! These 3 R's will help me alot because the hardest thing for me to do is record what I eat.
