I grow lots of herbs and dry them in my dehydrator. I whirl them in my food processor and blend oregano, rosemary, chives, thyme, etc for my own salt-free seasoning. I also add dried minced garlic and onion purchased in bulk at my grocery store.

This company has a wide variety of fresh spices and spice blends. Many of the blends are saltfree. I have purchased many of their products and I'm always amazed at how much flavor they have. Well seasoned food makes nutritious eating easier.
Go to a spice store and smell different spices, ask for suggestions on what to use with different foods; I like strawberries but have been making them more exciting with chocolate balsamic vinagar and lavendar vanilla sugar - Also chicken breasts are a wonderful medium for a variety of spices - pick up some blends and season your chicken and grill - delicious and easy to prepare and warm up; just add some veggies and grains and you are set.
Save your spice jars and reuse them. I fill the jars with flour to sprinkle flour on cutting boards to roll out dough. Sprinkles for cupcakes. Extra salt & small candy for cakes. They will stay fresh longer and they are great for kids to put in their little hands. Plus you sprinkle right on the cake with out getting it all over. Even your own mix of blended spices or ones you dry.
