When I know I'm going out to eat or (since it's nearly summer) to a cookout and I may splurge, I step up the intensity of my workout or go that extra 20-30 minutes BEFORE I go. I use those extra calories burned for my splurges (drinks or a yummy dessert or whatever!)

MORE INFORMATION:
Extra exercise for me could be as simple as adding an extra mile to my planned run or stepping up my intensity in muay thai. emoticon

    If you know you will splurge, putting in the extra exercise is great. But... Don't splurge because you worked a little harder. That's a trap that will make you gain weight. Been there, done that.
