At the top of every hour throughout the day I take my 8 oz measuring cup, fill it with water and kick it back. It takes me 6 gulps and its done till the next hour. That way I know I'm getting in at least my 8 and some bonus water.

I've always struggled getting in enough water. A friend said she was getting me a water bottle. I don't know what is about the gift but I love my fancy purple bottle. Now I get in my water and I don't think about it. My advice, get a bottle you love.
I was having a hard time getting all my water in- and then I bought a plastic cup with a lid (to keep on my desk at work) that also came with a straw. The straw has made a HUGE difference. Getting all my water in no longer seems like a chore. That straw made all the difference.
Getting enough water in helps me stay hydrated and feeling better in every way. When I don't drink enough water, I feel bloated and "blah". SOO, in order to make sure I get a good start on getting in enough water in a day, I fill up a large water bottle the night before (atleast 16 oz is what I do) and stick it beside my bed. if you don't like room temp water you could freeze it first and then sit it by your bed so that in morning it should still be a little chilled.
