I keep a stack of pennies next to my water glass (started with 6, currently 7, soon to be 8). Each time I drink a glass of water, I move one penny to the other side of the glass. Once I've moved all my pennies, I've gotten my minimum water requirement for the day, without having to keep count.

That's so funny, I used to do that when I swam laps in my pool. I didn't want to keep count, so before I got in, I'd count out 20 rocks from the surrounding landscaping and put them at the end of the pool. Each time I got down there, I'd pick up a rock and toss it back where it came from. Once the rocks were gone, I was done!
