I pick up and use those free shower caps as quick covers for food served in bowls. They make great covers on the picnic table or in the fridge. Also work well as shoe covers when packing shoes in your suitcase. You put them over the soles and keep your clothes from getting dirty.

I make a small 8” x 9” basket for weekend guests composed of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower cap, bath gel & other things I get from the hotels when traveling. I add a disposal razor, a package of bath salts, maybe some perfume samples, a shower net puff,
a tiny travel hair spray, new wrapped toothbrush, toothpaste & anything else I can think of that a guest might like just in case they forgot something important. I leave this on the vanity along with a large supply of towels & washcloths & encourage them to use or take any of the items with them.
If you happen to stay in a hotel that provides shower caps, take the unused one home in the package. Use to cover leftovers in the refrigerator. The elastic holds the plastic in place and most of these will fit larger bowls.
