Eating a breakfast that contains three food groups within an hour of waking every day sets the tone for the day, gets your metabolism going, and helps keep you satisfied until the next meal. Be sure the meal contains less than 9 grams of sugar.

MORE INFORMATION:
After making this change to my food plan, I began losing two pounds per week instead of one. A healthy cereal (Kashi GoLean, for example) with low-fat milk and a banana works well.
