I used to think "Oh no...I HAVE to exercise today to reach my weight goals" but when someone suggested I think of it as "I DESERVE to exercise today" it changed my whole perspective and for the first time in my life I began exercising regularly and loved it! That was 2 and a half years ago.

When I feel like I really want a Coke or other treat, or like it just doesn't matter or nothing's working, I try to put it in perspective. I ask myself, "Is this treat really worth so much to me right now that it's worth not meeting my current goal?"
Really puts it in perspective when you think about having your Coke vs. fitting into a wedding dress or swimsuit, having the ice cream vs. keeping your sugar/cholesterol down, etc.
