Otherwise known as BLT's! I used to find myself nibbling on the food left behind on my children's plates. BLT's add up! Now, when the kids are finished eating, I have them pour the rest of their drink on their left-over food before they bring me their plate. YUCK! no more nibbling for me!
Same goes for left-overs in the pan. Pan goes directly in the sink and I spray water on it.
When you're out to eat and getting ready to order, once you've made up your mind ask yourself, "Is this really the best thing I could have right now?" If the answer is no, scan the menu again for something healthier. It will definitely make your waistline - and very possibly your tastebuds - happier. I did this today at lunch and wound up with a BLT on wheat instead of fried chicken fingers and fries.
