On those days when I honestly don't feel like exercising, I motivate myself by pulling a reward card out of the special gift bag AFTER I have done my exercising. It keeps me going and I know there are some neat little things I can treat myself to.

I have a very decorative gift bag that I filled with reward cards--3 X 5 cards that I wrote little reward gifts to give myself. For example, give yourself a 20 minute bubble bath ; give yourself a facial; buy yourself a new color of nail polish; call a old friend, etc.

Buy yourself a gift card. When your favorite restaurant or grocery store has specials on gift cards (ie purchase a $50 gift card get a $5 gift card free) purchase them for yourself. If you shop there anyways, you know that you will use it plus you get an extra $5
If you have a credit card that gives you rewards such as gift cards for accumulated points, save them all up until December then cash them in. I have done this the last couple of years and gave the gift cards as presents or got them for myself then purchased Christmas presents at the store using the gift card.
The best thing about this is that no one will ever know!
I exercise 3-5 times a week. If I slack on my exercises I feel more tired and down on myself. Even though I sometimes don't feel like exercising I push myself to do it and then I feel great afterwards. So I would saying that exercising is like giving a gift to myself.
