I'm a firm believer in not eating after 6 pm, especially if you go to bed early ( I go about 9 ). But, if you are craving something in the late evening, there's something out there besides ice cream...or even fruits & veggies: treat yourself to some light or fatfree popcorn. Tip:

This tip was given to me from another SP member and wanted to share. Like many of you, I eat well all day, but can't fight the urge to snack at night ! Instead of fighting it, work WITH it. Keep a bowl of cut veggies in the fridge for night-time snacking. My downfall is chips and dip, so I dip the veggies in salsa and get the same "crunchy snack" satisfaction and pack in more veggies for the day!
It just makes me want to cook & eat everything they are making, or at LEAST snack along with them (& night-time snacking is a BIG no-no for my weight loss program!).
If you *must* watch something food-related on late night TV, stick with something gross like reruns of Andrew Zimmern's "Bizarre Foods"... Watching him munch on bugs & rotten fruit supports my weight loss goals by acting as a very effective (and SAFE!) appetite suppressant! 4029334
If you are like me and get hungry at night here is what I do. I plan out my food in my nutrition tracker and always leave just enough for a night time snack which is a bowl of cheerios. That satisfies a craving if you re really hungry and has no guilt attached because it fits in your tracker.
