For all those who have a GPS on their phone (or any other hand held system), look into Geocaching (www.geocaching.com). It makes exercising by walking or cycling into a treasure hunt, giving more purpose and motivation for getting out and doing it. I think there is even a Geocaching Spark Team!!
I first went Geocaching with a Spark Buddy who lives out of state. Now we are even planning regular outings to meet up, and Geocache while we enjoy a brisk walk, and each others' company. There are Geocaches everywhere. Find a friend, start walking, start Geocaching, have fun, and get fit!!
430 The big turkey day is quickly approaching, but it's not to late to plan something that takes everyone away from the table and puts an end to the meal. Perhaps it's a showing of the family movies, the kids dressing up and giving a Pilgrim & Indian play, or a game of some sort. Something fun to signal an end to eating and moving on to a fun activity that we look forward to. The sky is the limit of fun ideas!
