I'm paid weekly, my BF check is direct deposit...mine is not. Each week I take out "me tax" for example say your take home pay is $350...10% of that is $35. So, put that amount into your tin Now, really if you are strapped use a smaller percentage out but, make it per pay check no matter what.

Also, all change I find I put in my pocket and when I get home it goes into the tin. If you "just can't afford it" think to yourself for a minute....It's a tax...the tax man takes his cut, so, why not me too? And budget based on your total income already subtracting the "me tax" Then, u wont notice.

I do this as my husband. I do my nails and he plays poker with the guys in his cigar shop once a month some time twice. It helps a lot. We have a very tight budget, but we need to do something for our selves otr we go mad.
