I'm paid weekly, my BF check is direct deposit...mine is not. Each week I take out "me tax" for example say your take home pay is $350...10% of that is $35. So, put that amount into your tin Now, really if you are strapped use a smaller percentage out but, make it per pay check no matter what.
Also, all change I find I put in my pocket and when I get home it goes into the tin. If you "just can't afford it" think to yourself for a minute....It's a tax...the tax man takes his cut, so, why not me too? And budget based on your total income already subtracting the "me tax" Then, u wont notice.

We have a spending plan (budget). On payday, I go to the bank and get certain budget categories out in cash: food, clothes, allowance, fun, gifts and haircuts. Having a plan and using cash is huge! And, allowance for grown-ups (we call it "mad money") helps to keep adult wants in check too.
