Toast a bag of raw nuts in the oven. I love walnuts or pecans .When toasted, they have such a great flavor, and you can pinch them between your fingers instead of chopping them. Use less that way, since they are high in fat and calories, although very healthy.
I roast them on a baking sheet at 300 degrees for about half an hour, or until they are crisp. Watch them so they do not burn.
