In addition to using a salad plate as a dinner plate, I also use my salad forks as dinner forks to help me eat more slowly & take more bites.

When I am eating ice cream (Skinny Cow ice cream cups) I use a baby spoon! That way I eat it slow and enjoy it longer. Now my husband uses one too! Good thing I have small grandchildren or else that would just be weird :)

Despite being 31 years old and having no children, my kitchen is stocked with plenty of baby/kids cups, plates, bowls, silverware, etc... It goes along the same premise of eating off of salad plates and using salad forks. The smaller sized items tricks my brain into thinking I'm eating a huge heaping plateful of food - and the kids forks/spoons ensure I'm not just gobbling the food down. You can only fit so much on kid sized silverware. My friends all think I'm crazy, but it works for me!
