Old toothbrushes are so useful for the tricky little areas in cleaning jobs such as bathroom taps, kids toys. I use different coloured ones for different jobs. I wash them in disinfectant to stop germs/bacteria.

  • I use them to scrub the tea stains out of my tea cups -- the ones I know the dishwasher won't get. And I throw them in the dishwasher with the utensils from time to time so they aren't disgusting, either. - by JLITT62
  • I use them to clean the silver polish out of the pretty ornamentation, and tile grouting in kitchen and bathroom as well as lots of other jobs - by SHEILA1505
  • I do this too! Only I hadn't thought about using different colors for different jobs! - by OUTDOORMOMMA
  • I use tooth brushes to clean the mold from my tub. You know the area that are hard to get with normal stuff. - by RAHAFEEZ
  • I use it to clean the floor behind the toilet. Larger scrub brushes don't usually fit back there. I squirt a bit of cleanser containing bleach, let it sit for a minute or two and then scrub. Then just wipe with paper towel. @Geodawg, for me it is a way to know I've cleaned all surfaces. Bathroom and Kitchen are my major deep clean zones. emoticon - by VALARIET
  • I have one next to the clothes washer to scrub little stains out of clothes after pre-treating, before putting them in the washer. - by CYNIEPOOH
