I dislike light salad dressing so when I order a salad, I always get regular Italian dressing on the side. When it comes in those little plastic cups, instead of shaking the cup to combine the oil and the flavorings, I open it and pour off as much oil as possible. Then I shake to combine what is left. This gives me more flavor per bite and less oil.
use less dressing by putting your tomatoes in the bowl or on the plate first and squeezing the juice out you will wet your salad and need less dressing and if you use olive oil and vinegar add lemon juice to the mix and use less oil to save calories and make the salad healthier
When eating pizza I have found that taking clean paper napkins and gently blotting the top of your pizza will wick up a fair amount of oils . The last time I had pizza at our favorite place I used 3 napkins on an 8 inch square pizza. I figure any oil I take off the top of my pizza is that much less oil that I am not taking in.
