At our house, we tend to eat to large a portion of nuts. These are pre-portioned to 100 calories AND they're roasted in cocoa, so it's like having candy. I like one pack for my afternoon snack!

I love the 100 Calorie Packs of Cocoa Almonds (made by Emerald). This is the perfect little amount of chocolately-nutty goodness, and they make a perfect and satisfying dessert or snack. Plus, you get all of those great heart-healthy fats from the almonds! They're a win-win!! 244
I love cocoa roasted almonds as an occassional snack. I stopped buying the snack packs and started buying the large bags. I count out 15 almonds (approximately 100 calories) and put them in a baggie to take for a treat at work.

Buying in bulk saves money, Even though it takes a little effort and planning, portioning out the snack gives me control over my daily intake and how much I spend financially. This can be applied to other areas as well.
Check out the dark chocolate flavored Cocoa Roast Almonds from the company Emerald. This is a great snack at 150 calories for 1/4 cup of almonds that have a thin coat of dark chocolate powder on them. You can have a chocolate taste without going overboard and get some great healthy fats, protein, fiber, and 35% vitamin E.

While there are other flavors, upon comparing them, the dark chocolate flavored almonds have a LOT less sodium than the other flavors. Plus they have only 6 grams of carbs - 3 of which are fiber. With 8 grams of monounsaturated fats (the best kind) and 6 grams of protein, a 1/4 cup can be filling.
