Attending A Diabetes Education Class

This Sparked Me!

All the difference in the world for me. Meeting with a diabetes educator showed the ins and outs of having diabetes and how being proactive can be beneficial to your life in preventing many health and life threatening issues. Meeting with a nutritionist helped me start eating healthy w/a meal plan.

Ask your doctor about it. Most insurances cover these classes.
Tracking on SP really helps too!

Everyone's replies are helpful to others who are new to this disease and I say it's never too late to ask for help and support when you need it as education gives one's mind very powerful information to carry on with their every day living. Keep on Keeping on! It works when you keep asking no matter what the question.....We are all children of God.

I have been diabetic for over 3 years. Did your DE advise you to go low carb? According to my doc I've "cured" my type 2 by doing so.

Even if you have been a diabetic for many years, it is always good to get a refresher course with an educator. Science is always coming up with new information and new ways of helping us.

The educator is a huge help with living with diabetes. I myself have been a diabetic about 10 years and last year my Endocrinoligist had me see the nutricinist in there office and boy things had changed alot since I had my initional training, and a friend of mine saw many changes from her training and her husbands a few years apart. So its good to get refreshed on diabetes from time to time
