The only thing I enjoy more than looking at my pictures of the family is sharing them! After a weekend with the grandkids I like to send a quick note to my hubby and kids with a picture attached to pick up their Monday at work. They love it. The subject line is always "Monday picture picker upper"

Treat your strength/weight training and the following recovery day as ONE WHOLE UNIT. The act of lifting weights is the challenge, the body's response is actually when progress is made and the muscles get stronger. If you overtrain, you actually can cause damage. So ST, feed your body the proper nutrients (including protein) within the hour afterward, and get enough rest in order to reach your full potential. Sleep is necessary!

You can alternate upper and lower body and core exercises in order to work some muscle group daily, just give that muscle group a recovery day and focus on another muscle group. Example: Monday-lower body, Tues-upper body, Wed-LB & core, Thurs-UB, Fri-core, Sat-LB, Sun- rest/day off.
I have several different groups of people that I work out with. I have my runner friends, friends that struggle with work outs, and those that want to get together once in a blue. Having many people to work out with allows me to always have something to do around working out.

I have started using dumbbells while watching TV. It only is upper body, but useful in stretching shoulders and arms, and useful in low-stress, lots of repititions. And if I do it while watching TV, I feel still relaxing and enjoying my evening, while getting low impact workout. Works for me!!
