Secrets of Success

Prep Your Bills

I pay my bills the old fashioned way, by mail. To save time, I "prep" them as soon as they are brought into the house from the mailbox.

More Information:

I discard the envelope they arrive in, as well as any extraneous paperwork like flyers & inserts. I stamp the return envelope & put my address label in the upper left corner. Then I put everything into my Bills To Pay folder. When I'm ready to sit down & write my checks, everything is ready for me.

  • I don't stamp them until I actually mail them. Where the stamp belongs I put the date that I need to get them in the mail. I put the stamp over it and it helps me keep up with when to mail what. - by TWYLA053
  • I do that too. - by WALL-E2
