As an emotional eater, I realized that my go-to food was any kind of sweet. I found that I could fulfill that urge with a "healthy sweet" like a few frozen grapes or some orange slices to satisfy my craving at the same time as analyzing why I was emotional. Less calories, more emotional awareness!

Try a flavored rooibos tea for dessert, instead of eating something sweet. Rooibos tea has tons of antioxidants and they aren't sweetened just infused with great flavors! Yum! My favorite is Chocolate orange bliss! And if I need it even a tad sweeter I add a little vanilla soy milk and then top off with a touch of agave, you can get the tea from www.cascadeteacompany.com along with many other places : )
Especially bad habits! If you want to break a bad habit, you must simply replace it with a good habit. Replace something unconstructive with something constructive. Chew gum instead of candy. Replace soda with water. Replace snacking with a walk. Replace couch sitting for floor sitting & exercise.
Look for ways to enhance your life at every opportunity.
