I live in a 2 story home with kids. I keep a large basket at the bottom of the stairs. When I am downstairs and see something that belongs upstairs, I toss it in the basket. When it's time to go upstairs, I bring the basket with me and drop off the items in the appropriate room. It saves me time

My Grandma always said, " Don't put it down, put it away!" When I remember her words and take that extra 30 seconds or so to put something away, I save myself a lot of time and energy later trying to find where I put it down. It also cuts down on the clutter factor considerably!244
