My husband and I do most of our shopping at the dollar store. This includes fruits and vegetables. We buy beans and brown rice from the bulk bins at the local discount grocery store. That leaves a very few items left to buy at the regular grocery store.
Overcharged at the store? Make sure to get your money back!
A few times per month I have been overcharged for items at the store...stores of all types, grocery stores, clothing stores, general merchandise stores and such. Look over your receipt before you leave the store. Don't be afraid or lazy about getting the money back for overcharged items. I saved an additional 4 dollars on one item due to a misapplication of a coupon. It adds up!
Buying things just for the price, & you end up wasting money. Fresh fruits & veggies and other healthy food choices are always bargains for your physical & financial health. No self-control? Leave it on the grocery store shelves. If it's on sale and it's junk food, leave it at the grocery store.
