I had to change my mindset for times I would "slip". No more beating myself up... now, it's "A new opportunity to be successful!" How lucky am I that I can start again? I don't wait for the next day to start fresh... I do it with the next MEAL! Soon the little successes snowball to big success!
I post my favorite postiive quote in several places around my house..."It's hard to beat a person that never gives up." Babe Ruth I remind the person in the mirror that she is special and deserves a hug!

I am going to have good and bad days. I do not flog myself over every little misstep, but I also know that giving up is not an option and accountability is key. I note where I fail (and my responsibility in that failure) and make a measurable plan to help avoid that situation in the future.
Punishing yourself for every little misstep is unhealthy and just plain mean. It takes guts to love yourself enough to make these changes, but you wouldn't be here if you didn't care. Knowing that I'm doing this out of love keeps me going.
