It may seem odd since this is a weight loss site, but it really does help to take the focus OFF of your weight, even for a while. Setting a goal of being X pounds by X date can be too much stress and pressure. It may make you focus on being perfect or tempt you to make unhealthy choices.
I have four daily NON weight goals that I try to reach each day. I know if I consistently meet these goals that it will positively effect my weight, but it takes the stress out of stepping on the scale. I also only weigh and measure myself once monthly. It has SAVED my sanity!

I know if a 235 lb lady can do it, you can do it. Walking has taken off 86 pounds so far. I will continue to walk during the holidays to keep on track.Whate ever you do to loose weight keep it up. But nimble the treats. It takes twice as long to take off what you took in.Happy Holidays!9
I read somewhere once that it takes 30 days to make a habit but only one day to break it. (EX: if you exercise everyday for 30 days, it becomes a habit, but it only takes 1 day to say "not today" to break your streak, causeing you to have to start the 30 days all over. Same goes with eating habits, if you are eating healthy, it only takes one day to throw you off and put you back into bad habits.) Stay focused and things will come easier.
