It may seem odd since this is a weight loss site, but it really does help to take the focus OFF of your weight, even for a while. Setting a goal of being X pounds by X date can be too much stress and pressure. It may make you focus on being perfect or tempt you to make unhealthy choices.
I have four daily NON weight goals that I try to reach each day. I know if I consistently meet these goals that it will positively effect my weight, but it takes the stress out of stepping on the scale. I also only weigh and measure myself once monthly. It has SAVED my sanity!
