When you are feeling thirsty don't grab a soda. Drink a glass of water first, then sip on your soda. Water is better than any sodas, even diet sodas. If you were like me and could drink a 2 Liter in a day, you will notice that your calories will be drastically cut down.

Cut Juice with Water or Club Soda/Seltzer/Sparkling Water
Juice can be high sugars and calories. However, if you cut it with water, it lasts longer, tastes less sweet, but just as satisfying, and keeps those calories in check. Instead of water, use club soda for a great soda substitute! I now only use a splash of juice for flavor.
This works for lemonade, or even sodas cut with club soda.
Soda has 150 calories & 10 tsps of sugar per can. An easy way to give up the soda habit is to switch to drinking flavored seltzer water (the ones w/no sugars or substitutes). You still have flavor & the fizz of soda w/o all the empty calories. By giving up 1 soda a day, you can lose 11 lbs a year
