Add extra zing to most dishes without adding many calories by adding a splash of lime juice. It gives chicken soup an extra zing and is wonderful to use instead of salt on steamed vegetables.

    Sounds good. My wife snd I do the same thing with Tabasco. Like the commercial says, it is so much more than hot! We don' put it in fruit smoothies, but just about everything else.

    I use lime juice for lots of things - as you say, it brings out the flavour and gives an extra zing. Especially with green veg, chicken, and fruit smoothies (I don't like mine sweet).
