During the summer, I raise herbs in the garden and dry them. I buy fancy containers at the dollar store and give the herbs as gifts to family and friends.
I hang the drying herbs upside down in paper bags that are tied closed. Keeps them clean and keeps all the herbs in the bag.

Every night I'll empty my change into a quart jar. When it's filled, I bring it to the bank..... it' s usually about $80.00, which I put into a Christmas fund. Every year I have more than $500 saved for Christmas gifts, which painlessly frees up a lot of money in my "gifts" column of my budget.

Wise Holiday Gift Giving

After living over 7 months on about a third of my regular income this year due to health reasons, we are trying hard to get back on track financially. I told our 8 kids that Christmas gifts were going to look a bit differently this year and I asked each of them to make me a list that included 5 things they needed and 5 things they wanted.We used that list to select their gifts with a plan to get them at least 3 needs and one want. It made shopping asier and more meaningful.445144

MORE INFORMATION:
We were surprised to see that each of them listed things like underwear and socks which we normally get them. It is good to know that all of these years, I have been getting things right.!!
