I tried a "new" product called Running Food. They are chia seeds that have actually been around for thousands of years and date back to the Aztecs. (yes this is what Chia pets were grown from). Seems to live up to the claim of keeping you fuller longer. Also a good way to maange cravings.

Chia seeds can replace butter in many baked goods. 1 of the qualities of the Chia seed is its hydrophilic properties, with the ability to absorb more than 12x its weight in water. The shelf life is less than w/ butter, but the fat and calorie difference is huge!

Ingredients to make my smoothie healthier, yummier & more filling
I have started putting 2 Tbl. of chia seeds in my smoothies and replaced the skim milk with almond milk. The chia is full of omega 3 and helps to make me feel full & satisfied. The almond milk has less calories and is a great source of calcium, plus it adds a great flavor. Yum!
Chia is high in fiber, protein, boron and magnesium. Great for weight loss, Along with balancing your blood sugar, it will keep your blood sugar from spiking throughout the day, Chia Seeds are odorless and have no taste. Add 1 teaspoon to yougurt. Buy at your favorite health food store.
