DId you know that taking cinnamon every day helps maintain a healthy blood sugar level and improves cholesterol? I take cinnamon tablets, but you can add it to tea, cottage cheese, yogurt etc. But eating cinnamon rolls do not count! LOL

A visiting doctor at our Senior RV Resort told us that 1/2 teaspoon a day will improve your cholesterol. He said if we would just do that most of us would never have to take cholesterol meds. I didn't know you could purchase cinnamon in pill form. I'll have to check that out as I find it hard to consume 1/2 teaspoon a day.

Thanks for info. I love cinnamon, but didn't know it comes in tablet form. I'd rather add to my food for I hate talking pills.

Almost every morning (usually 1 or 2 days a week I have an egg or peanut butter on toast) I make oatmeal. I add cinnamon for my heart and wheatgerm for vitakin K... And it really makes the oatmeal so much more tasty!

As a diabetic I knew about taking cinnamon for blood sugars but not for cholesterol. Too bad but true cinnamon rolls don't count.
