Absolutely right!!! I recently maintained my weight within .8 lb. during our 10th Wedding Anniversary vacation!!! I ate all the things I wanted but kept the portions under control. We also hiked a lot! And as soon as we got back it was easier than ever before to get back to my regular routine and nutrition goals.

Absolutely. I realize I will have to count my calories and exercise for the rest of my life. It is like a romantic relationship. Whatever it took you to get it, it takes to keep it.

So true. When I started my journey, I had to remember to view it as a long term solution. In the past, once I reached an okay weight, I would stop eating healthy and go right back to where I started. Not this time. It feels good to be in control.

This is just what I needed to hear and keep as my mantra!

You are so right, it is the way we live now, no going back to the old ways of eating.
